I am SO excited today to share something we’ve been working on. We’re going to be hosting our very first series! Fit Kids for Summer SeriesThe Fit Kids for Summer series is going to be an awesome resource for all us mamas gearing up for summer! When I was a kid, summer meant weeks and months of sitting on the couch watching television and eating anything I could get my hands on (all thanks to older siblings who were in charge while our parents worked 😛 ). It’s a miracle I was not obese, but it certainly set some habits in motion that have been terribly difficult to reverse. With summer coming, I have a plethora of mixed emotions. I am SO excited to have a break from packing lunches, washing uniforms, plus the days full of dropping off and picking up (which seems to take the whole day, with two in elementary school and one in preschool), not to mention the early mornings and grumpy kids. I’m looking forward to letting my kids relax after working SO hard this year, and going on some great adventures with them. On the other hand..how in the world am I going to be able to entertain all four kids this summer, and still be able to run both my businesses? Yikes. How do I keep them busy and active so the transition back to school in the fall is less painful? I’m getting prepared in advance with lots of ideas to make the transition easier! Our series will take place on Fridays for the next few weeks, so be sure to follow our blog and mark your calendars so you can check back to see what kind of awesome we have for you! We’re super excited to be welcoming several other talented bloggers as guests during our series, so come meet some new friends, get some great new information and ideas, and make sure you are ready to keep your kids fit and healthy this summer! For now, let me share with you an awesome find that I discovered through a friend (thanks, Niki!). Cosmic Yoga for KIDS! How cool is that? It’s a full YouTube channel, dedicated to yoga for kids, and it’s AWESOME! It’s a great way to help your kids stay flexible, and to unwind from the day’s activities so they are relaxed and ready for bed. Check it out, and let me know what you think!
