I have to tell you how much I LOVE working out at home. I’m an introvert naturally (I know, I know…an introvert with a big mouth is hard to come by.), and pretty shy about public places.

Even so, I’ve done the gym scene a number of times. I had a student membership to the Apple when I was finishing my degree at ISU, and I did use it. Just not enough. And when I was there, I never really got a great workout. I’m not someone who can hop on the treadmill and just watch tv for an hour. Ick. And without anyone there to guide me, I would just hop from machine to machine and not really get anything accomplished.

Not only am I completely incapable of being my own trainer, but I am now a mom to four kids. If you’re a parent, you know time to yourself is precious and rare. A trip to the gym would take me two hours. I can do a super intense, focused workout in my living room, shower and be done in less than an hour. That leaves me another extra hour to do whatever it is I NEED to do while my kids are sleeping or otherwise occupied.

Below are some of my absolute favorite home workout programs. I’m a junkie, I collect them. 😉 I love being able to grab whichever program suits my mood, almost as much as I love the accomplishment of completing an entire program, start-to-finish.
